My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Berry the 10 year old female Pomeranian had just had her eye removed in the shelter, why we do not know. What we do know is that she needed out immediately, her time had run out and this poor little lady was clearly obese. We got her to the vets and discovered that she was very sick! At first our vets thought possible pneumonia because she was coughing and had blood coming out of her nose, and was having a very difficult time breathing. She was diagnosed with severe trachea collapse. She was immediately put onto meds, and kept at our vets for observation. She was also put onto a healthy diet to lose weight to also help with her breathing.

Berry has recovered from her illness and we tried to get her dental done but there was no need as she has no teeth to speak of! She has lost a small amount of weight but needs to be on a strict diet. She has a limp due to her being extremely overweight and she has been diagnosed with a luxated patella.

This little lady has the sweetest personality and she is one you will fall in love with fast. We know she loves people and dogs, and we definitely know she cannot move fast at all because of her weight to even chase a cat. She currently weighs 7.9 lbs. She is spayed, chipped, heart worm negative and up to date on her shots.

Her adoption fee is $450

**IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ**

An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well.

As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves.

Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved, a safe environment, a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding.

WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet can be scheduled. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
