Scar*Pending Adoption's Story...
Hello Adoring Public!

My name is Scar. I am a magnificent (yes I said it, cause I am) Maine Coon cat. I am about 2.5 years old as of 4-3-17 and am a big boy. I weigh approximately 13 pounds. I have long hair and my tail is a site to behold. It is absolutely stunning. (That's right, there's nothing wrong with my self esteem.).

I am at a rescue that works with RARE to find guys like me perfect forever homes. I live in a cattery with many other cats and get along well with them. So I would do fine as an only cat or with other cats. I like humans and am eager to find a family of my own so they can lavish me with attention all day long. I promise to give them all the love that is in my big, furry heart.

If you think I am the boy for you, contact RARE today.

*****AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT ARE REQUIRED!*****
Please visit www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org for foster and adoption applications or for additional information.

All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have.

Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption.

Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scar*Pending Adoption, a Columbia Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
