Harley's Info...

Harley's Story...
Harley appears to be a mini long haired dachshund! He is 1.5 years old and weighs 11 pounds. He loves toys and gets along great with other dogs, big people and little people. He is a little hesitant around men at first - especially if they are loud or have on a hat. So he would really prefer a female to be his primary caretaker. He is house trained and crate trained. He'll let you know when needs to go out. Harley knows how to sit, is good on a leash, and listens well.

If you are interested in adding Harley to your family, please go to www.goofyfootrescue.org to complete an online adoption application. He is currently being fostered in west Tennessee and will be transported once his adoptions is finalized. Transport runs to the following cities: Harrisonburg, VA; Hagerstown, MD; Harrisburg, PA; Allentown, PA; Bedminster, NJ; Southington, CT; Willington, CT.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Hagerstown Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
