Poppy's Story...
Available for transport May 18, 2017. I am about 6 weeks old and weigh approximately 5 lbs. My 3 siblings and I were left at the City of Jackson shelter when we were about 1 1/2 weeks old. Since then we have been lovingly cared for together in foster homes. We have only known the love of both humans and our siblings and are all very playful, affectionate, sweet , and adorable!

Although I am currently in Jackson, MS, transport to the New England area is provided by Animal Rescue Front and is included in the adoption fee. If you are interested in taking me into your forever home please fill out the adoption form. Http://animalrescuefront.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Poppy, a Groton Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Groton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
