Here's what the humans have to say about me:
There once was a girl named Goldilocks who unfortunately did not have long beautiful golden hair. Instead she suffered from mange. Her hair was thin and her coat brittle. She also suffered from heartworm disease. Despite a few hard knocks, Goldilocks sweetness shined through. Her Labrador like qualities and wag of the tail set her apart in the shelter. Quietly resting in the back of her kennel at Animal Care Services, she caught the eye of her rescuer. She knew this girl had potential. She simply needed to be given a chance.
So Goldilocks was whisked away to a better life. A life where she met not just three little bears but dogs and humans that became her advocates. In a matter of days, Goldilocks settled into her foster home- hanging out and putting on much needed weight. She took long naps and enjoyed a safe place to just be. Soon she was spayed and started working on her girlish figure. It was time to hang up her life of whelping and nursing puppies.
As the story goes...Goldilocks does like porridge.... and turkey meat and chicken salad and Captain Crunch. You name it, she will devour it in her Lab like fashion. She loves water and will play in the hose for hours on end. She loves dogs of all sizes -both small and large. Goldilocks needs some work on the leash but that will come with time. She is housebroken and doesn't complain about being in the kennel. She loves to bask in the sunshine and ride in the car. She is just one of those dogs that appreciates being here. In fact, it was difficult snapping her pictures for the website because she ever so slowly wants to sit by your side. She isn't assertive but in her own way will inch right up to you to be as close as she can. She just loves people! Goldilocks would make a great family dog and is trustworthy with small children.
