Gracie--1-2 yo 25 lb Terrier X – HW neg

Gracie is a 25lb brown and black terrier mix roughly 1 1/2 old. She comes from a crate confined home where little to any love was shown to her. Her daily routine consisted of going back and forth between her crate and the outside for bathroom use only. This caused her to become timid and shy. After one year in that home and one month in the shelter where her owners left her, it only took Gracie one day with her foster to come around 100%. Walking/running on a leash (she still needs work, but is getting there), took a bath with LOTS of joy, and even befriended a cat or two.

She is a playful pup and obeys most basic commands. It did take her a few nights to understand where to use the bathroom. She is wonderful around other dogs and shows some curiosity towards cats. Although she's a Terrier mix, she has not once been seen trying to jump on or over anything.

All around Gracie is a loving pup that would fit greatly in a family or single setting. She would do great with or without another dog and even cats.

About Recycled Tails

About Our Rescue Group...

Recycled Tails was created by Heidi Evans in 2011 to continue her life long dream of rescuing animals of all shapes and sizes.

We have our 501c3 non-profit status and are always recruiting foster homes. We rescue unwanted pets including dogs, other domestic pets and barnyard friends (including chickens!) and work to find them their new forever homes.

We have a program to help pet owners who need to rehome their pets to keep their pets in their homes until a new home can be found. We can provide vet care/food/training to qualified pet owners who have a reason to rehome their pet in order to allow the pet to stay in the home as long as possible. Our goal is to place the pet right from one home to another.

We believe education can be the key to successful pet ownership. Heidi has spoken at schools and other programs to young adults about the meaning of owning a pet and all of the requirements that go along with it. If we can educate our youth it will benefit the future of pet ownership overall. If you would like to learn more about this please email us.
