Meet Zane! Zane in Hebrew, meaning "God's gracious gift". The name is also of Arabic origins meaning "Good". Zane is definitely a gift from God and a good boy. Zane we believe is Lab/Dane mix, approx 85 pounds, near 1 years old and mostly all shiny black with a touch of white on his chest and paws and deep coal eyes. He is a young, playful, funny and a super loving boy! He is good with all dogs and people. He is a big goofy boy that still thinks he is a puppy. He adores children, but would do best in a home with older kids versus toddlers since he doesn't realize how big he really is and has two left paws. He is good with other dogs and hasn't been tested around cats.
He can run like the best of them and definitely enjoys it! He would love a home with another dog his size and playful so he never gets bored, but would also do fine as the only dog if he gets plenty of exercise. He is super sweet and loves to give out kisses daily. He loves toys and tennis balls and loves to retrieve. Zane obviously had not had any training before we got him, so we have been working to change that. Zane is trea motivated and easily trainable. He is learning to walk better on a leash, rides really well in a car and learning the basics like sit. He is now crate trained and house broken. He definitely requires plenty of activities since he is still a pup and would enjoy a big fenced in area that has a 5ft or higher chain link or privacy fenced in yard.
Zane is fully vetted; neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines, heart worm tested positive but being treated by the rescue and is doing very well. The rescue will continue to treat until heart worm negative. Zane is an awesome dog that deserves a wonderful forever home!
