Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday, April 15th from 10am-4pm. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue
This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, April 22nd from 11-4pm and Sunday, April 23rd from 12-4pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.

She wants to be on your lap or sitting next to you or hanging out in your office. She's totally happy to be with her people. Now she's not anxious but she loves her people. If you're looking for a velcro type of dog then she's the one for you. She is going to make an awesome office dog or a dog who can run errands with her person.
Smurfette is a small little compact girl. She looks like a little tank. She's so cute. She has a wonderfully easy coat to maintain. She is crate trained. She would prefer to sleep with her people but she can and does sleep in her crate at her foster home. Smurfette lives with other dogs. She is an option to go to the dog park or doggy day camp or even to join another dog in her home.
Smurfette lives with cats. She is an option to go to a home with cats.
Smurfette is an option to live in a home with kids who are over the age of 6.
**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)
**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
