Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Spartacus's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Spartacus's Story...
This sweet guy was abandoned by his owner and found by a vet chained to a street sign with this crate next to him and food scattered in front of him. Despite this betrayal of his owner, he sat quietly hoping someone would come for him. He was in obvious need of medical care as he had a burned area about 6" x 3" on his back. Someone had apparently tried to set him on fire. He was treated and we were contacted to help. Spartacus hasn't missed many meals and is a sweet as they come. He's a gentleman who just needs a loving home and someone to say "he's the one"! If you're looking for a mellow companion, please complete the on-line adoption application. He is fully vaccinated and microchipped.

If you are interested in meeting Spartacus, please complete the adoption application (http://www.cascaderescue.org/adoption.html). Adoption fee is $200.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spartacus, a Portland Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Portland, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
