My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Can you imagine what Teddy must have felt like with mats in his hair this bad that they went all the way down to the skin? God knows when this little ol' man had a bath or hair cut last. He couldn't see a thing with the hair covering his face and he wasn't very happy with people needless to say. We thought he was very old when we rescued him, but it turns out that what was underneath this mess of a dog was a little sweetie pie no more than about 7 or 8. Teddy is now a different dog. He is playful, friendly, and even likes other dogs now (depending on their energy level). Although he would probably be happy being an only dog to soak up the attention, he would be fine sharing his love too. It is obvious he has not been socialized or even acknowledged. He now plays fetch and is 100% potty trained. He will even let out a little cry if he needs to go potty. Teddy was once a sad little pathetic old man, but it is clear that all he needed was some TLC, guidance, love- and of course a hair cut! He was treated for skin issues but is doing great. He is on allergy meds but it will most likely only be on a as needed basis. Teddy Bear would be best with no kids, only because he is slightly hesitant of new people. He is playful though so would also benefit from a family that will play with him and continue to give him the love and guidance he always wanted. Teddy weighs about 25 pounds.
