Uhane's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and not good with cats.

Uhane's Story...
Uhane is a 3 1/2-year-old pure bred Akita, who recently came to our shelter because her family couldn't take care of her anymore. She is very loving and incredibly happy in the company of humans. Uhane likes to sleep in bed, and gets as close to you as she can get. She is delightful and loyal, and also playful. However, she is not good with small dogs. Because of her sheer size, we also recommend against small children or cats. We prefer that she goes to experienced Akita owners.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Uhane, a Savannah Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Savannah, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Savannah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Savannah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Savannah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Savannah paves the way for another one to be saved.
