The Last Resort saved Rissa and her brother from a shelter in GA that had caught on fire and burned down. When the dogs were displaced we became their last resort.
This precious gal is named Rissa! She is 5 months old and weighs 25 pounds now. She is just a pup and cannot be left for long periods of time. No applicants that plan to leave her alone all day. She is truly just learning to trust the world and has no idea what a leash is so ideally her forever home will have a fenced in yard. Rissa is a little shy at first but loves to play. She likes both human and canine companionship. She would do best in a home with other dogs to show her the way. Rissa is really, really smart and incredibly sweet natured. She is submissive with other dogs and loves children. We would recommend children who are older that won't overwhelm her.
We believe Rissa is a Husky/Shepherd mix. She is being fostered in MD so anyone looking to adopt her must be willing to travel to MD to meet her. She's a doll!! She is highly food motivated and will sit on command now. Sometimes she'll even give you her paw! Rissa is the smart one of the two pups and is crate trained. She can be vocal when she is playing with other dogs or sometimes in her crate so no apartments please. Whoever adopts Rissa will have so much happiness in their lives. Her smile and genuine sweetness is radiant.
