Chop's Story...
Say hello to Chop! This adorable little teddy bear is just over 11 weeks old & is full of personality! We're not sure if Chop knows he's a puppy; he thinks he's a baby! He loves to play, wrestle & cuddle, as well as eat & sleep! Chop is going to be a big boy & has already proven how smart he is by managing to escape out of playpens & over baby gates! His mom was a 60-lb black lab / German shepherd mix but we're not sure about his dad. Chop currently weighs in just under 18 lbs so we're expecting him to end up in the 60-70 lb range, but could be even larger. He is not fully housetrained yet, but his foster mom is working on that. To meet Chop or make him part of your family, fill out an application today! This little fuzzball won't be looking for a home long! Chop's adoption fee is $150 & will cover all vetting including a full set of puppy shots, de-worming, rabies vaccination, neuter & microchip with lifetime registration. Vet reference, home check, & adoption contract applies. Applications will be processed in the order received & will take precedence over email inquiries. If you don't see an "Apply to adopt" button on this page, please follow the link below to fill out an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chop, a Springfield German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Springfield, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
