Phoebe is a Boxer mix pup rescued from a shelter in Monterey. She is a very sweet, gentle girl, a little under a year old. She is shy at first and warms up to other dogs faster than she warms to new humans. She is a quick learner and very eager to please – she knows a few commands like SIT, WAIT, DOWN and NO; she knows her crate is a safe space and heads there on her own when she’s feeling unsure of something (like the vacuum). She has all the wonderful goofy energy you expect from a Boxer girl and she is excellent at entertaining herself for hours with toys. She loves cuddle time and play time, and loves playing with other dogs.
She is still overcoming some of her issues from her former life, which was an undersocialized backyard life, and is a bit frightened of men especially in hats. She does not like cats and will try to dominate a smaller dog, so she would be best with a larger dog. Her fur is soft as velvet and her unique facial markings make her a beauty, for sure. Phoebe is located in San Jose area.
