Katie is a 14 year old red long hair mini dachshund. Katie came into rescue when her human mom passed away. She came in with her doggie brother, but sadly he had advanced stage lymphoma and the stress of everything was too much for him. Katie was quite sad and confused but she is settling in. Katie had some neck issues and she is getting treatment. She takes steroids, gets laser and acupuncture. She is doing well and is a lot more active. She is great with dogs and cats. She would do best in a quiet home with another dog since she was always with her brother. Katie really would like one last great home to spend the rest of her days in. It may be one month, it may be several years, but all dogs deserve one last great home!!
Katie's adiotion fee: donation to the rescue to continue saving senior doxies!
We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.
Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. At that time we will bring the dog to the home in which you will all be sharing. We ask the entire family to be there that day. If we all agree on the placement, then the dog will stay with you that day.
