Hi I'm Magilla ( like Gorilla) I am really feeling better after a few rough months. My favorite spot is to rest my head on your lap and nudge your hand until you pet me. I've been happily getting along with a 2.5 yr old female my own size, she has been really nice to me and not playing too rough yet. Like most doggies, I like to eat, a lot. I like treats of all kinds and sit on command for them. I have gotten to meet several new people, and I like them all! Especially the ones that give me some loving. I haven't had the chance to meet many new dogs, but I hope the doctors give me the OK to go for some longer walks and explore more of the world. I need to build up some strength in my left shoulder and leg, since my right one is missing. My foster parents always say I'm a good boy, and give me the loving I crave.

No dog should have to go through the pain of being shot, but that is exactly what happened to Magilla. Shot in the elbow, he required an amputation as there was no way to repair the damage. He is a beautiful brown hound mix who loves belly rubs and hugs. Magilla is 4 years old, love to play with little dogs and pups, but is good with dogs of all sizes. He is house trained, good on the leash, and looking for a place to call forever.

About Mostly Muttz Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Mostly Muttz Rescue is an IRS registered, 501(c)3, public charity that is an all-volunteer, foster based canine rescue striving to keep man’s best friend from dying alone in the shelter system.

We believe that every dog, regardless of health, deserves at least a fighting chance to live, to love and to be loved for the entirety of their life. At Mostly Muttz Rescue, we often choose to save dogs suffering from curable illnesses within the shelter system rather than rescuing dogs that will be easy to place.
