Hawk's Story...
**PLEASE READ TO THE END FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION.**

Hawk is 5 years old and weighs 5.5 lbs. This little boy is a tad special. We don't know where he came from or how he got there, but Hawk's mannerisms and behavior are quite odd. The vet suspects some neurological issues, but we love him anyway! He is funny, lovable, and cute as can be. Hawk is happy and healthy and does everything a "normal" dog does; he just has his own special, funnier way of doing it.

We will try and get some video to demonstrate his quirkiness because it is hard to describe. We have had so many special needs dogs but never one quite like Hawk. It is impossible to have a bad day with this baby around, and he will be sure to keep you laughing.

If you would like to adopt Hawk, please fill out an application at www.TexasChihuahuaRescue.com. His adoption fee, including vetting paperwork, microchip registration to adopter, collar & harness, is $200.

Texas Chihuahua Rescue is based in San Antonio, Texas. All of our adoptable dogs are located in the San Antonio area. Additional photos and videos will be made available to potential adopters upon approval of our online adoption application. Transport arrangements will be made upon application approval and completion of the adoption agreement.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hawk, a Houston Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Houston, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
