Delci's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Delci's Story...
Delci is a 5 month old Boxer mix with the sweetest personality and loving nature. She was found as a stray with an obvious broken hind leg. Once in a FOR foster home she was taken to a vet to see if her leg could be fixed. Unfortunately, it was broken in two places and as young as she is, it was an old injury. The surgeon recommended that it be amputated. She has done great since the surgery, even got to have the dreaded “cone” taken off early, and is learning to walk and run on three legs!

She is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and lives with 2 other dogs and 2 cats. She had the ultimate kid friendly test over Easter weekend when she was surrounded a lot of children, ages 2 and 10 years old. She loved all the attention and gave out lots of kisses!

Delci has also been spayed, is current on age appropriate shots, and micro-chipped. She’s crate trained, almost house trained, and walks pretty well on a leash. She’ll be great addition to any family. Email info@forrescue.net for more info.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Delci, a Nashville Boxer/Mixed Breed (Large) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Mixed Breed (Large) for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Boxer/Mixed Breed (Large) puppy from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Mixed Breed (Large) breeders who help with Boxer/Mixed Breed (Large) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
