My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello. Meet Peaches. Peaches is about 3 years old. She was surrendered by her owner to a vet clinic due to a bad leg accident. The vet tried to save her leg but due to the damage had to amputate her back leg.

She came to Midwest BREW 1 week after her surgery. She has been in our care for 6 weeks. Peaches has totally adjusted to her new challenges and doesn't seem to be fazed about her leg. She gets around just fine and enjoys walks.

The vet believes Peaches was abused and that makes sense as she is very shy and timid. She wags her tail and wants to come to us but usually runs the other way. She enjoys sitting on our lap if we pick her up and cuddle with her.

She is well behaved, gets along well with our other 3 beagles and has a very sweet disposition.

Peaches is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night and enjoys the safety of it.

She also enjoys her comfy dog bed during the day. She is totally housebroken using a dog door.

Peaches will need a family that is very patient, gentle and understanding. I think she will come come around with time and love.

She is a very special dog.
