LOUIE is a headstrong, young Pit Bull/Hound mix whose college-aged owner acquired him from the south and brought him home. His lack of manners around food got him into trouble with the resident dogs and she was forced to give him up. Sometimes Louie can be too big for his britches but he is a youngster and just needs a little direction and a LOT of exercise. Louie is already a favorite of our track team high school girls and he would do well with a runner in the home. Although we are working with his over-possessiveness with food and toys, Louie would be best as an only dog without small children. We hope to get an obedience class under his belt this summer - with his love if food he should be easy to train! Louie has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested neg for heartworms. A fun dog for an active person! Please fill out an application at www.CompAnimals.org. Adoption $200.

About CompAnimals Pet Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

CompAnimals Pet Rescue is a small not-for-profit "no kill" rescue. Our mission is to take in unwanted, abandoned or abused dogs, cats and other small pets; to place those we can in loving, permanent homes; and to provide a sanctuary for the animals whose age, health issues or temperament precludes them from adoption. Our dogs & cats are neutered, vaccinated and receive all necessary medical treatment beford being made available for adoption. Through our volunteers and outreach programs we educate the next generation about the importance of spay/neuter and giving a lifelong home to their pets. We hope to one day put ourselves out of business but until then we will continue to rescue regardless of breed, age or medical condition.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our shelter has visiting hours - Wed through Sat from noon 'til 5 p.m. You're welcome anytime we're open.
Most our our dogs live in foster homes, and will likely not be at the shelter unless arrangements are made ahead of time.
We do hold monthly "Meet and Greets" at local pet stores, but here, as well, to meet a specific dog arrangements should be made in advance so that
your potential new best friend can be there waiting to meet you.

Our Adoption Process...

Please visit www.CompAnimal.org for more information about the adoption process and our fees. Our application is online, and relatively quick and painless to fill out.
We are a small all volunteer organization. Your e-mail wiil typically receive a quicker response than your phone call.
