The pug seen in the picture was surrendered to me about 2 years ago. His caretaker got arrested, is serving 7 or so years and left this dog in ONE ROOM with multiple other pugs and rottis. I only received this one do not know what happened to the others. I received him because the woman alerted about the incident could not take him in with one of her other dogs, they constantly fought. A year or so later the woman suffered a stroke and I took in the dog mentioned above as well as the pug. My husband who just lost his own dog took a liking to her and she is now ours. The problem for me is the animosity still exists between her and the pug. While we are able to control little "spats" between the two I feel it is extremely unfair that he cannot sleep on our beds or be petted in her sight. He is severely handicapped - one eye is totally gone and the remaining one is "locked" he can see at that level and down not up, these things happened while living in a room with this "person" before us. The vet recommends not doing anything at the time. He is also no neutered and if you know about pugs intubating is difficult. He has received shots and I will update upon adoption. I would, even though I adore him, prefer to see him with someone that can love and pet him without causing a world war. He gets along well with EVERYTHING; however he is possessive with food.

About Our Rescue Group...

I trap because there are way too many strays or former pets turned out unfixed and we need to bring the number of outside animals breeding to a managable number. I relocate when I can but am very limited because there are way too many
