Dewey's Story...
Hi, I'm Dewey!

I am the last one left of my litter. All my brothers got homes already, but I am waiting for just the right person to come a long to be my forever friend! Once my brothers left, I got to hang out with the older guys here at the rescue and it has been a lot of fun! But I'm ready for a place of my own. I am very mellow and I love to be held, but don't let that fool you! I love when the nice ladies here play with me with toys as well.

You should come visit me sometime, you may be just the one I am looking for!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dewey, a Marion Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marion, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Marion.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marion already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marion breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marion paves the way for another one to be saved.
