Riley's Story...
Name: Riley
Breed: Lab mix
Age: Adult
Gender: Female

Riley is a 35 pound female Yellow Lab mix, 3 years old, who came to rescue when her owner's lifestyle changed so that she could not care for her any longer. Riley is house trained, crate trained, excellent with kids, dogs and cats. She is used to daily walks and would love a home to continue those, although she does pull on the leash and needs training with that. She's very well behaved and very social.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Minneapolis Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
