Buddy's Story...
Buddy is a sweet 6 year old, neutered golden retriever that deserves a family that will love and appreciate him! Having "raised" his family of 2-legged kids that moved on, he was basically ignored and he developed a chronic ear infection. His owners refused to spend any money for treatment and they took him to the vet to be euthanized. Fortunately the vet had the good sense to have them sign him over & contacted us. His infection was so severe due to the owners neglect, his left ear canal had to be removed so Buddy is now deaf in his left ear. Otherwise completely healthy and UTD on everything, this super sweet guy now just needs a secure, loving home and family. Buddy is good with children, dogs and cats and he is house-trained. If you would like to make Buddy your new forever family member, please contact omlc7@hotmail.com or lorainecm@comcast.net and we will send you our info and application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Plainfield Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Plainfield, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Plainfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
