Due to high volume of applications, Walter is only available for Wisconsin adoption.

Walter and his brother Fred were rescued before being turned into a shelter in Houston. Walter is an outgoing but mellow puppy, who enjoys both playing but also cuddling on the couch. He loves playing with other dogs of all sizes, and doesn't mind cats. He has been around women, men, and children and has enjoyed the company of everyone. He is very smart, and is ready to learn whatever you want to teach him! Walter is 8 weeks old as of April 23rd, 2017 and is about 3.5 lbs. Walter's adult weight is estimated to be between 10-20 lbs. He is a Chihuahua mix, with beautiful merle coloring and a medium length coat.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please note that preference is given to adopters in
Wisconsin, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.
