My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Well hello, my name’s Kelly! Are you looking for a trusting, loyal, four legged best friend, that you can start the next chapter of your life with? Well then you’ve come to the right place, because I would love to be the gal to fulfil that wish! When you come in to visit with me, I’ll eagerly greet you at the front of my kennel, hoping and waiting for you to get me out and spend some time with me. In fact, I thrive for attention, and love being around and interacting with men, women, and while I’ve never been around children, I’m sure that I would do well around children. I would really love to find a family that is just as active as I am, and would be willing to take out on an evening walk or jog around town on a regular basis. Or at least have a big fenced in backyard where I can outside with the kids, and just run around and have a good ole time. I love playing a tag like game with my human friends, and also enjoy playing with toys such as ropes, soft toys that I can rip up, balls, and squeaky toys. I was mostly an inside dog in my previous home, and would really love to remain and inside dog in my next home as well. I did tend to have some accidents in my previous home, though if I had someone that would be willing to put in some time, and work with me one potty training, I’m sure that I can get it mastered. I tend to stress out a lot and chew on things when I’m kenneled, so as a result I would probably do best a home that allowed me to have free roam while I was alone. I lived with some cats and an older dog in my past and was friendly with all of them. In addition, when I’ve met other dogs here at CHHS, I’m friendly for the most part with everyone I’ve met, but at times I can be ornery and have a little bit of an attitude. I would probably do best living with a dog that wasn’t constantly in my face or jumping on me all of the time. So if I sound like the perfect match for your family, then come on down and visit with me today!
