Maris's Story...
"Are you looking for a delightful sweetheart who likes to have fun? If you are, then you've got to check me out. My name's MARIS, and I'm a nine-month-old pit bull mix girl who's beautiful and happy. I love everyone, especially somebody who'll play fetch with me and shower me with affection. I especially enjoy chasing after balls that squeak. I'll bring the ball back to you and let you take it without any fuss. I'll also sit on command before you throw the ball. I'd be a wonderful pet in an active family, and I like to play with other dogs. Since I'm rather playful, the other dog should be on the larger side. I'll need a fenced yard in my new home, and I'll be at my best with a daily walk. Please make sure there's a comfy bed inside the house for me, as I'll want to be part of the family. You'll be happy to know that I've already been house trained. If you want to add some sunshine and happiness to your life, please come visit me here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter and spend some time with me out in the play yard. I'd love to get to know you (and maybe go home with you?!). Love, Maris"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maris, a El Cajon Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
