Facts about Finley (Missi)

  • Breed: Pointer/Beagle Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn - With White
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 9855486

Finley came to us pregnant and running out of time. We were fortunate to have a foster who took her home and delivered her 9 healthy puppies in Nov2015.  She was very attentive and caring mother.

This beautiful lady is a pointer beagle mix.  She is about 3 yrs old,  weighs 37 lbs., fully vaccinated, spayed, potty trained, crate trained and knows how to use a doggie door. She would be fine being left in the house loose during the workday, but is also fine in her crate.

Finley would love to be in an active home and having older children around would be fabulous because she likes to play. She might have a little bit too much energy for a household with children under 6 years old. She's no couch potato! She loves to go for walks, car rides and is a wonderful companion. She is goofy and fun-loving.

She is eager to please, loves to cuddle, and is always ready for a good belly rub!  She is great with kids (preferably older than toddler-aged as her innocent excitement may knock them down). She does best with dogs that don't mind her high energy or that are more calm or submissive, no cats.

Please email and download an application to foster or adopt from our website  Thank you!

About Cody's Friends Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
Thank you for visiting and considering a rescue........................

Our Adoption Process...

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. Upon request, they are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $200 to $250 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $300 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.
** Please note that I do not usually adopt out my dogs with children under four years of age.
