Tucker*Adopted's Story...

Adoption Donation: $100.00

Tucker is a sweet and gentle 6 pound, 10 year old boy.  He is inquisitive and smart, he loves squeaky toys and plays with them every day.  He sleeps in the big bed with foster mom cuddled up with one of the other dogs.

Tucker arrived at SCMR with Tara, another Yorkie, and they are comfortable around each other but are not bonded.  Tucker does need another dog in the home and he enjoys sleeping in a dog bed with another dog.  He is house trained and rides well in the car.   He needs a quiet home without children because he is a senior and likes his down time and naps.

He has luxating patellas in both knees and some weakness in his left rear leg, so he is taking 2 Chinese herbs to help his leg muscles get stronger, and it does not appear at this time that his legs cause him pain.  He has cataracts in both eyes, but he gets around with no problem.

He is happy to be picked up so he can sit on the sofa or sleep in the big bed, but he cannot get up or down on the furniture on his own.

He is a sweet older fella that is fostered in Atlanta, GA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tucker*Adopted, a Chattanooga Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
