Gladys's Story...
Good day. How do you do? I'd be all peaches & cream if only I had a loving family to offer me their hearts. I am Gladys, a soft, cherished 12 year-old English Springer Spaniel. When I first arrived at the shelter I was so traumatized. I curled up in a ball for days, just lying lifelessly on the floor. I was so sad & terrified of what was to happen with me. I’m still so disheartened. Why am I in this cage? Was I a bad girl? I’d be so very blessed to have a devoted guardian; one who is kind and patient; one who can convince me that I will be all right. I am awfully gentle & calm so I would make the perfect match for an elder human. If you are a family I’d appreciate living with kiddies at least 10 years of age & sensitive to my feelings. I walk like an angel on lead and appreciate peaceful moments while sitting beside you outside. I still surely have my youthfulness in me. My most favorite pastime is rolling around, wiggling my cute self in the grass! I don’t listen to commands because they are quite foreign to me. I sure would love to learn a thing or two. I truly deserve so much more than what life has delivered to me. All I want is to be reminded that I am special, that I am worth just as much now as I was when I was a young gal. Oh what a dream it would be to be kissed goodnight on a cushiony bed. Until then a girl can only hope. I’ll just lie here, dreaming on the rough floor, until one day I look up and there you shall be, ready to set me free.

Act quickly to adopt Gladys. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gladys, a Huntington English Springer Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Springer Spaniel for sale in Huntington, or seeking a English Springer Spaniel dog from a breeder in Huntington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Springer Spaniel breeders who help with English Springer Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntington paves the way for another one to be saved.
