We have decided to look for a new home for our first fur baby for a number of reasons. We had a child a year and a half ago, and despite attempts with therapy and medication, he still has yet to transition to the change. It is obvious that he has become depressed, and desires no contact with our daughter. He is very skittish towards her, and has displayed fear and aggression towards her. We have attempted to find him a home with area friends, but he does not tolerate other dogs or animals, thus we have been unsuccessful. Our veterinarian has recommended further attempts to rehome him, versus put him through the stress of surrender. He does have chronic allergic dermatitis, but has been very responsive to Apoquel.
Please let me know if you have any questions or know anyone who may be able to offer him a quiet, calm home.
