Callie's Story...
Callie is a beautiful 7 year old golden lab mix. Her owner who loves her dearly was accepted to a special graduate school and does not feel that it is ok to have her cooped up in a small apartment all day. It is out of love that she wants to find her a wonderful new home. It would be great if she could go with her brother Wrangler, but we understand if that is not possible. Callie loves to play outside, lay in the sun, and have belly rubs. She is house and crate trained.

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting one of our dogs, we ask that you please go to our website and fill out an application. www.northmeckanimalrescue.org

Our adoption fee $195 includes spay/neuter, parvo/distemper series of shots, rabies if dog is old enough, bordatello, heartworm preventative while here, worming, and microchipping.

We appreciate your patience as our volunteer-only team reviews your application and updates our website.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Callie, a Charlotte Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Charlotte, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
