My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Good with Kids: Over 10 Years. She is not sure about little ones.
Good with other dogs: Yes!
Good with cats: Interested but respectful of resident cat
Housetrained: Almost there!
Crate Trained: Yes
Walks Nicely on a leash: Yes
Knows Basic Commands: Yes
Energy Level: Go, Go, Go
Special Needs: N/A

Arrival story: Our volunteers met Calla at the shelter and fell in love with her immediately so she hitched a ride back to Waggin’ Tails for a chance at an awesome forever home.

Approximate Age/Weight: 1 year / 45 lbs.

Personality: Our girl is so sweet! Calla cannot decide if she loves toys or cuddling with humans more. She adjusted to the routine in her foster home quickly and thrives on that routine and knowing what to expect. Calla is smart and knows her basic commands and is treat motivated. She loves to play (and nap) with her canine foster brother and is still learning what toys are hers but obeys when her foster mom asks her to “drop it” or “leave it.” She can be a bit snarky with toys with other dogs but not with humans but she is making improvements every day.

Calla is good in the car and at the vet’s office. On occasion, long car rides leave her a little neauseated. Calla is curious about everything and would love a home with an active family willing to let her really be part of the family. She’d love walks and backyard romps and inside games to keep her mind busy and learning. Calla really enjoys playing with her canine friends at doggie daycare.

Forever Home: Calla is an affectionate and lively girl who wants to take on the world with her new family. She would do best in an active home with lots of activities and kids over 10. Calla is canine social so dog friends, either living in home or playdates with family/friends dogs or daycare is ideal.
