If he could talk, what tales he could tell. From his past on the mean streets, perky Potato, with his shorn marmalade fur, has morphed from straggly stray to fostered feline, lapping up all that’s warm and wonderful in his bright, new world. He follows his foster mom faithfully as she moves from room to room, and while he’s not yet used to being held, he’s at ease sitting endlessly in her lap. Gentle and sweet but still slightly – and understandably – guarded, polite Potato is litter box trained, and LOVES his wet food, which is a plus, since his freshly cleaned teeth are few. Now, all that’s missing from this tale is a happily-ever-after ending, where precious Potato can find happiness with an experienced owner, respectful of his traumatic past, in a loving, fur-ever home (without children, paw-lease).
Please call or text Kerrie 970-485-3342 if you would like to give Potato his forever home!
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
Our adoption process is:
1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.
2. We'll contact you to schedule a home visit.
3. If the pet looks like a great match, fill out our Adoption Agreement online (or Foster-to-Adopt Agreement), pay the Adoption Fee, and arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
