My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THERE IS AN ADOPTION PENDING ON SKYE. Skye has just spent 12 weeks at the Grafton Correctional Institute in our Prison Dog Training Program. She is now a proud Prison Graduate. Skye has been trained in basic commands and obedience, manners, proper leash walking and house training.

Say hi to sweet Skye! She has been a breeding dog her entire life. Now that she is 7 years old, her Amish breeder took her and a few of her friends to be euthanized because they were no longer of use to him. Director Greg Willey stepped in and brought the dogs to Friendship. They didn't know much about being "regular" dogs but they are sweet and gentle pooches that are happy to be alive and out of the horrible situation they were in. Every experience was new to them. Skye is a social butterfly that needed training. She loves life and everyone in it. She's looking for a patient family that will help her transition into her new life. She has had her training and ready to show her new family all that she has learned. Stop by and take a look at this cute Chocolate Lab mix named Skye.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
