nutmeg's Story...
Say hi to Basil. This super fun pup came to us from Stockton a couple weeks ago after being left of a good Samaritans porch in a storage container.

Basil is an all around great puppy! He loves to play with his squeaky toys, chase tiny tennis balls & romp around the house with his foster siblings! Basils ideal family would be open to potty training, basic obedience classes & lots of play time!

Basil is roughly 12 weeks old and looks to be a Doxie / chi blend. You can learn more about him or apply to adopt by heading to our adopt tab and submitting the application to adopt! Once received a volunteer will reach out to chat further & schedule a time to meet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

nutmeg, a South San Francisco Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in South San Francisco, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in South San Francisco.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in South San Francisco already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a South San Francisco breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in South San Francisco paves the way for another one to be saved.
