My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sometimes all we can do as dog rescuers is wonder "why" and shake our heads. This is the case with Mr. Rocky Balboa here. His so-called owner dumped him, along with her adult cat, at a shelter on her way to the airport to catch a flight. That's puzzling enough, but we were told by the shelter volunteers that she took her other dog, a Labradoodle, with her. Rocky is a perfect little poofball who's happy, out-going, and constantly smiling. He's great with other dogs and cats, and he loves to be around people. He seems to be a small cockapoo (poodle/cocker spaniel mix), weighing about 15 pounds. Rocky is house trained and crate trained, and he grinned right through his first bath with his foster mom. How any human could simply abandon a dog like Rocky on her way out of town is a mystery to us, but we are thankful that we get to help this awesome pooch find new humans who are deserving of his abundant love and devotion.
