$200.00 Adoption fee to Experienced Macaw Handlers
The first part of this Dynamic Duo is Ko Jo the Greenwing Macaw , Ko Jo is one special boy with a troubled past. KO JO has past of falling in love with children that treated him with kindness and respect and love. Ko Jo recently has been in 3 new homes in the past year, all with children under 16 years of age. He ended up bonding with the children, and attacking the adults. So Ko Jo has been returned to us repeatedly.
Since Ko Jo’s last return, he has found a new friend at our rescue who also has suffered a troubled past. Ko Jo has found Pego, a 19 Year old, female Blue & Gold macaw named Pego. We notice that Ko Jo is happy being with Pego, and fears that he may lose his new friend
PEGO is a sweet 19 years old girl and she has had a troubled past too, which has left her with some crop problems. She is very health and eats quite well. Pego likes the company of Ko Jo. Pego is very tame and trustworthy, and she likes being out of her cage with Ko Jo as much as possible.
*(We also understand that children will grow up and will move on in life and this will break KoJo’s heart again). So understanding this, we know that KO JO’ needs to have a stable, experienced Adult care provider).
We will not place these two in any homes with children under the age of 17.
With this understanding, KoJo’s and Pego’s Adoption fee is just 200.00 dollars which includes 2 large macaw cages, with play tops were they love to spend all day and nights, on the tops of their cages.
*Please understand that we will only place these two with Experienced Macaw Handlers, you must have at least 1 year of current macaw experience. *Sorry, we will not place them as a breeding pair.
*Delivery is available in most local areas of Washington and Oregon State. Understandably there will be an additional transportation fee will be required for those qualified applicants who live more than 20 miles from Portland, Oregon.
