Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Beautiful Lucy just doesn’t get appreciated by the visitors to the shelter. She is the proverbial wall flower hanging back waiting for the other person to make the first move. Once this timid girl has relaxed she is very sweet, enjoying petting and taking treats with a gentle mouth. Even when she is relaxed, Lucy remains calm and the only thing that really gets her animated is going for a long walk on the trail. This otherwise reserved dog becomes energized and playful when she realizes she is going for a walk in a natural environment. She jumps and spins and is as frisky as a spring lamb. Needless to say all her excitement causes some pulling on the leash but at only 37lbs it is not excessive and with continued practice we are confident Lucy will learn to contain herself. It will also help when she is out of the shelter environment and she can have more regular access to the outdoors and the long walks that she so enjoys. Lucy is a quiet spirit and will do best in a home that can offer a calm and loving environment to match her gentle energy-level.
