Meeko's Story...
Meeko is a 8-9 month old pit-lab mix. He was saved from a high-kill shelter in Coffee County. The shelter is no place for an energetic smarty pants like this guy. He has a lot of puppy energy but over a very short amount of time, we learned that this dude is incredibly smart. In just a over a week, he learned basic commands and was sitting patiently for his meal with his foster brothers and sisters. He will need a fenced-in yard and an active/experienced family. Bonus if he has other dogs to play with.

Applications can be found at www.harttn.org.

**All HART dogs are fully vetted prior to adoption. This means neutered, chipped, HW tested, up to date on shots and on preventative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Meeko, a Hermitage Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Hermitage, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Hermitage.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hermitage already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hermitage breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hermitage paves the way for another one to be saved.
