A little information about Arthur...

Arthur is a 8 lb, 2 yr old chi who was found at a high intake/kill GA shelter. Arthur was found at a high intake/kill GA shelter. His foster family cannot say enough good things about him. He snuggles with the children and is always up for whatever game they create. Arthur is a quick runner among other talents. He is housebroken and crate trained as well as have an extremely high IQ. He is politely requesting a home in which he can sleep in bed with his family.

Event information....

We are open to the public from 11;30 am to 4 pm Saturday the 20th and 10:00 am - 4pm on Sunday. Applicants who apply online by the Thursday Prior to the Event will be allowed early entrance at 10am on Saturday. All final decisions are made by the rescues not Homeward Bound volunteers. If you are interested in this dog or any of our dogs please go to www.homewardboundct.org (copy and paste in browser window) and see all of the dogs coming and also fill out an application. Please note that most of these dogs are not in Connecticut and will be arriving the day prior so it is most likely not possible for you to meet them prior to the event.

If you are a first time dog owner we may require a home visit prior to adoption.

If you rent or live in a condo we will require proof that you are able to have a dog. This could be a copy of the lease or condo agreement.

All the residents in the household MUST come to the event along with any dog in your home for a meet and greet with our trainers.

Per the request of the rescues we may limit adoptions to only Connecticut homes due to the distance and support we give them. This again is strictly the rescues decision and hope you will honor that.

We also require a follow up visit with all families within a couple of months after the adoption.

Since we know there are many questions, please realize we will answer questions of those who have filled out an application first.

Adoption Fee is no more than $385. All dogs will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated to age and also microchipped.

If you have additional questions about our dogs feel free to contact us. Please understand that we are all volunteers and will try to get back to you as soon as possible. If it is close to our event we are very busy with pre-screening our applicants so please understand if we can't answer all your questions in a timely manner. Our goal is to make sure these dogs go to the best home possible.
