My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nefertiti was in the Guezira club in Egypt on the night of the massacre last year. Someone tried to beat her to death with a stick, and she managed to climb a tree out of reach. She was found there 2 days later by a kind rescue person. She had a broken leg and other serious injuries, and spent weeks at the vet.

The rescue people in Egypt realized what a special and brave girl this is, and reached out to Helping Homeless Felines who assisted bringing her to the US. While she has some slight balance issues and vision loss from her ordeal, she is extremely loving and affectionate.

Nefertiti is a door greeter, head butter, and very vocal kitty who friendly and sweet. She is not a fan of other kitties at this point, since she was bullied by another cat while in the Egyptian rescue, and would prefer to be the queen of a household where she will be the center of attention. She has heard that cats were once worshiped as gods, and Nefertiti feels this is a role she can fulfill for the right family or person.
If you have a lot of love in your heart, and would like to meet this amazing girl, please go to the Pets Bring Joy website (petsbringjoy.org) and fill out an application to visit her. Nefertiti is being fostered in Burke, Va.
