Riley's Story...
Hi, I'm Riley an amazing 7 year old Shepherd- I am incredibly sweet, with a very stable temperament (great with dogs and kids) and calm! If you are looking for a mature dog who loves everyone, look no further. For me, well I have been on the streets for a while and would love a comfy place and sweet owners to spend my final senior years with in peace! Due to my lack of care, I am heartworm positive, but low and no new babies were seen. I am being treated with the low kill method, and my vet expects I will do very well. Thank you for considering me, as my rescue says once you meet me, you will take me home right away! Well I certainly hope so and promise to give you the best years of my life in companionship. Regards, Riley

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Boerne German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Boerne, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Boerne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boerne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boerne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boerne paves the way for another one to be saved.
