Tate's Story...
Hello there! My name is Tate and I am very pleased to make your acquaintance. I am very calm for a terrier. I'm playful, affectionate, and loyal...all the characteristics that you want in a companion. I'm a bit to modest to say so, but everyone says I'm very cute. I'm around 15 lbs and 18 months old. I get along well with other dogs. There aren't many things that startle me. Loud noises, dogs barking at me, automobiles honking...I'm just calm and collected with all of them. I am very good at walking on a leash. My foster mom likes to say that children can easily take me for a walk, because I don't pull or try to drag people along. I love to just trot along beside my people...I'm just so proud to be out walking with them. I love being a lap dog. Cuddles and kisses are the best. If you're looking for a pretty easy dog, who is loyal, fun, and adorable...you've found that in me! How about meeting me? Please contact info@wagsfundrescue.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tate, a Houston Cairn Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Houston, or seeking a Cairn Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Cairn Terrier/Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
