MARIO's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

HI! My name is Mario. I'm a 7 week old Boxer Mix puppy. We are not sure what I am mixed with, but we think it might be a Lab.

My Boxer Mom was lost in a cold alley when the good people at Houston Boxer Rescue found her...RIGHT before she was going to give birth to ME and my brothers!

Now, we are healthy, happy, and full of energy and love...and all we need is YOU! My Mom was a full Boxer, but we are not sure who my other parent was...so, that is why I am listed as 'mixed'.

I am the sweetest of my brothers...I love to be held, play with balls, and sticks of any kind. I have a cute bobbed tail and plenty of love and puppy kisses. So, if you are ready for a puppy, please pick ME!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MARIO, a Houston Boxer/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Boxer/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Boxer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
