KELLY's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

My name is Kelly.  I was found wandering around in the country.  I happened to take up shelter in a ditch and the nice woman that lived there had a soft spot in her heart for Boxers.  She called the people at HBR and they came all the way out to get me.

I am a very sweet girl.  I like all humans and kids.  I get along with other dogs.  I am crate trained, house trained, and walk very nicely on a leash.  In general, I am a really good dog.  I just need a family to love me and give me a forever home.  If you are looking for a bit of Boxer for your world, please choose me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

KELLY, a Houston Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Houston, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
