MAX's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Whoever named me Max was right on target because I am all boxer -- to 'the max'!  Being in foster care has allowed my personality to blossom.  Isn't it wonderful what a secure situation does for the spirit?  At this house I have a young Bull Terrier pup as my play buddy.  We have a grand time playing chase and other games until we are all pooped out!

The other day we had a female dog as a visitor and I thought she was way cool and wanted her all to myself.  She was too old for the young whipper snapper any way!  We got along fine although she thought I was a little bit 'much' with all the kisses I showered upon her.  Can you ever please a woman?

My foster Mom is finding our what a smart guy I am.  I know how to 'sit', 'down', and 'shake', with voice or hand signals!  The crate is not my favorite but I am well behaved inside it, I have not had any accidents and am real good about 'asking' to go out.  She told me that is a very teriffic quality!  We are working on the 'leash' thing and I know I will get it down pat in no time.

Some of my favorite things are belly rubs, playing chase, nibbling on your toes when we play, and the sweet sound of the food scoop!  My foster Mom says I am 'the epitome of an amazing boxer'!  That is a great stamp of approval!  So if you are looking for an all out maximum boxer to be your new best friend, just remember Max!  That's me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MAX, a Houston Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Houston, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
