Jax's Story...
Meet Jax! This happy-go-lucky guy is such a charmer. He is super friendly to all the people he meets here, though the kennel environment is sometimes a little overwhelming for him. We know that Jax previously lived in a home with another dog and a cat, and he behaved very well with both. At just 3 years of age, he is energetic and playful, so he would likely appreciate a buddy to romp around with at home. Jax's leash manners are improving, and he is very eager to please. He would do much better in a home with older kids, as he has tried to guard resources occasionally and herd/nip the little ones. Jax is both house- and kennel-trained and fully vetted. Come meet him at the Rescue today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jax, a Meridian Mixed Breed (Large) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mixed Breed (Large) for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Mixed Breed (Large) dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mixed Breed (Large) breeders who help with Mixed Breed (Large) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
