ZOLA's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

My living situation changed when my Dad was deployed to Afghanistan.  My Mom is very sad to have to let me go but there is no way to keep me where she is living.  We are glad HBR is helping to find me a wonderful home where I can live happily-ever-after!

I am a normal, bouncy, active boxer pup.  I would like having other dogs to play with!  I love kids of all ages but need to be taught to be 'easy' with young children.  I am crate trained and used to sleeping in my crate at night.  I have not been house trained but I am a very smart girl and could learn in no time if someone will help me.  I have never been around cats.

Do you have room in your heart and home for me?  I hope so!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ZOLA, a Houston Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Houston, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
