INDIGO's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

INDIGO here and I am a Female Boxer...somewhere between 3-4 years old.  I was found by a Good Samaritan.  They tried and tried to find my home, but no one came to claim me.  So, they called Boxer Rescue and here I am.

Whatever you are looking for, I've got the whole package.  I am smart, furry, four legs, love to learn, naturally curious, and live to please.  Teach me anything.  Sit, stay, balance the checkbook, I can do it all!  Keep me by your side and I'll be yours forever.  Given that I am a Boxer, I am naturally playful, curious, and trusting.

I just moved into a foster home with a dog and a kid, so stay tuned for more updates on me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

INDIGO, a Houston Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Houston, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
